The White House, Fairgreen, Westport, Co. Mayo. F28DC84. We are located at the Fairgreen, at the end of The Mall/Carrowbeg River, three doors from Centra convenience store/petrol station.

We are ideally situated for public transport links - just minutes from the Bus Eireann bus stop (serving Dublin, Athlone, Galway, Achill, Ballina, Sligo, Enniskillen, Louisburgh)

We are a 10-15 minute walk from the Train Station on Altamount Street. Many of our guests describe it as the perfect location as we are a five minute walk to many of the best restaurants and pubs in Westport, yet far enough from the main street so not to be disturbed at night.

Across the road is the entrance to the Town Greenway - 2.5 km from here to the Quay - an easy 5k round trip for cyclists, walkers or runners along picturesque scenery, travelling under bridges and along streams. The more adventurous have to try the Great Western Greenway which is 42km of uninterrupted cycle track from Westport to Achill. Bike hire and shuttle bus services available all year round. ‘Doing the Greenway‘, along with tackling the great climb of Croagh Patrick, is becoming the must do activity when visiting Westport. Refreshments are then duly earned in the many pubs and restaurants afterwards.

Public transport

Westport is serviced by both Irish Rail and Bus Eireann. Services run 7 days a week, with Irish Rail links and Bus Eireann routes running to many locations throughout Ireland throughout the day.
